The School Day

8.30am – 8.50 am  School Grounds and Doors are open

Our school site is open from 8:30 with classroom doors opening at 8:40. This is when you can let your child walk independently into class. They will start their day with a familiar task. At 8.45am the register is taken. This is one of the most important times of the day as teachers will meet and greet their class and share the timetable and changes.

Children will be asked to read during the day. Every day they will need to bring in their reading book and Reading Record Diary.

8.55 – 9.55 am     Lesson 1

The first lesson of the day

9.55 – 10.55 am     Lesson 2

The second lesson of the day

10.55  – 11.10 am BREAK

Healthy fruit snack to be eaten outside. Pupils can spend time running on the hard court or walking and talking in the walking wiggly area.

11.10 – 12.10 pm Lesson 3

The third lesson of the day

12.10 – 12.55 pm LUNCH

Lunch time! Year 3 Pupils will have their lunch in the Old Hall. They will eat their packed or hot lunch.

12.55 – 13.00 pm Afternoon Registration

13.00 – 15.05 pm The Afternoon

The afternoon may be split into smaller half hour sessions or longer sessions.

During the afternoon Pupils might go for a fit break.

15.00 pm School Gates Open

School gates will be opened and Games or outdoor lessons will have finished. Pupils will be finishing lessons and gathering belongings. 

15.05 pm School lessons will finish and children can be collected from the classroom doors.
