Can my child walk around to Year 2 and meet me?
Yes, but the teacher must be given a letter with consent.
Can I arrange a meeting?
Absolutely! We would like to talk to you but it can get busy on the door. Please either organise a meeting via the office or on the door.
What do I do if I have a doctor’s appointment?
Let us and the school office know via a note and then it can be entered onto the register.
What if I am late?
The class doors close at 8.50 for the start of the day. Please enter through the office. This will be entered as a late attendance.
What do I do if my child is sick/unwell?
Please phone the school office by 9:30 am or email office@cjsdorset.org
What do I do if my child needs medicine?
Please bring the medicine to the front office in its original container(s) ensuring that the medicine is in date and that it has been stored correctly. All
medicines must be marked with the following information clearly indicated:
- the child’s name on the medicine;
- when the medicine should be given;
- the prescribed dose and pharmacist’s instruction, e.g. after meals.
Parents are expected to notify the school immediately (in writing) of any changes or alteration to a prescription or recommended treatment It is important that the school is aware and informed by parents about other issues or symptoms their child may have experienced over night or before school; this is particularly important for asthma conditions.
Can my child join a club?
Please see an example of clubs and activities timetable. It outlines which clubs are for which year groups and whether they are by invitation only.
