Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is funding to support the achievement and progress (both academic and pastoral) of children who are eligible for Free School Meals (or previously eligible within the last six years), children who are and have been looked after by the local authority, and those from service families.

This grant is allocated to every state-funded school as national figures commonly show that these groups of pupils often do not achieve as well as their peers.

In the current academic year (2025-26) at Christchurch Junior School, 17.4% of our cohort qualify for Pupil Premium funding with a grant allocation of just over £127,000.
